Event Volunteer

Most events at the Museum require at least 20 people to support the operation of the event on the day of. Not to mention preparation in advance for all the interactive activities and arts and crafts for the kids! 

Here are more examples of what Event Volunteers do:

• Help vendors load/unload

• Prep activities for kids

• Support kids in navigating the activities

Volunteer shifts on the day of the event are typically 9am-2pm, 1pm-6pm or 9am-6pm. The two weeks before any event is prime time for the preparation tasks. We’ll coordinate with you a mutually agreeable time, usually on weekdays between 10am and 4pm. 

Because this requires you to be on District property, you must complete and pass the District’s application and background check before being permitted to volunteer.
